Are You Willing to Die on the Hill Biden and the Democrats Built?
As the Dixiecratic DNC drives toward the reactionary end, we are faced with a choice that can’t, in good conscience, be made.
After another disastrous week for Biden and the DNC in Washington, we are once again seeing just how ineffectual the Democratic establishment has become following years of entitlement-voting and the attempt to build a cult-like following in the image of MAGA through the Dark Biden meme campaign embraced across the caucus.
Despite pressures from the burgeoning Left to force the Democratic establishment to pull back on the genocidal policies being enacted in both the Middle East and along our southern border, we have been met with not only resistance, but a disregard that borders on the maniacal; the so-called leadership of the party caving to every possible demand of the radical Republicans in a feckless effort to outflank Donald Trump from the Right. Today’s so-called “invasion” at the border wall in El Paso exposes this fact clearly for anyone who didn’t get the message when he used an anti-immigrant dog-whistle during his State of the Union speech, employing the same tactic that politicians of his generation relied on during the late-Civil Rights era to restrict the growing power of Black and Brown voters across the United States to appeal to a base of voters who will always lean toward the radical who “goes too far” than the moderate who “caves to the Left” regardless of the truth of the statement.
The result of this is obvious for anyone who hasn’t boughten wholesale into the Blue MAGA cult currently driving our flaming bus over the cliff of inward-turning empire: Joe Biden and his band of sycophants are throwing all semblance of Progressive values to the side in favor of an ethereal “moderate” voter that doesn’t truly exist in today’s charged political environment. The only path for victory according to poll after poll after poll is that of the minority vote, the youth vote, and the Leftist vote, and yet the only vote allowed (i.e. Democratic) is undermining the most fundamental values of these demographics; his ruthless campaigns against minorities both internationally and domestically, elevation of inflated job statistics which are comprised of primarily low wage service jobs, and failure to provide meaningful pathways to education or homeownership all showing a Democratic government completely out of touch with the base of their party.
The people are not buying the lies and mistruths coming from the White House and its split-tongued followers. Not in a world where it costs some $3million to raise the US-favored nuclear family. Not when our pockets, labor power, and emotional wellbeing are being taxed beyond our capability to pay. Not when we are exporting terror to the world on live-feed and our President acts like it is the H.W. Bush Administration trying to hide the war dead of that dynasty’s First Gulf Invasion in his attempts to sell us genocide in the name of national security.
As always, I will remind that what we are witnessing in the 2024 Democratic Primary is nothing less than a monarchical coronation of a self-imposed king which mirrors the actions of the 2020 GOP to such a degree as to be ridiculous. They have taken the lessons learned from 2016 and 2020, turning the only opportunity for dissent within the party into a sham election and discarding the fundamental tenets of democracy in an attempt to stem the flow of power slipping through their withered hands. We have been stripped of our Right to have a say in our own governance to such a degree that it is difficult not to wonder what is different between our government and that of the dreaded “Communist China?” In an age of cronyism, political redlining, intra-party censure of any dissenting opinion within leadership, what makes today any different than those of the Railroad Barons or the Wall Street tycoons of our seemingly forgotten past?
And so I ask once more: are you willing to die on this hill? To throw away your opportunity to have any say whatsoever in how our country treats our neighbors and the most disadvantaged among us? How many of the hard-won protections of our Civil Rights Movements, how many of our peers who died to get those protections written into law, will you allow to be stripped away before you decide that it is not in your personal interest to swallow the poison pill of the Dixiecrat DNC of today. (Did it ever really leave?) Need I remind you that it was Southern Belle President Bill Clinton who designed the architecture that has completely decimated the education-attainment of most of our students for the last 25 years? That it was under Obama, not Bush or Trump, that the very Capitalists that collapsed the economy in both the Dot-com Bubble and the 2008 Financial Crash were allowed to once more build their wealth using indecipherable, probably illegal, and wholly unregulated monetary instruments? That the Vice President of this country is the “tough on banks” “Progressive” who declined to prosecute Steve Mnuchin’s OneWest Bank for foreclosure violations against her own constituents?
For me, the answer is, and has been for a long time, obvious: the days of the Democratic Party, the “two-party” political monopoly of our enfranchisement, are over. The oppressed Peoples of the United States empire and her Western stooges in Europe have finally grown strong enough to plead their case for justice and for the first time, they cannot be drowned out by theatrics and false crises. No manner of “chaos” on the border will stop the images of starving babies from crossing my screen, no protectionist thuggery and attempts to stop the flow of information between the demeaned masses of the world will make the movement Left any slower.
As the Democratic Convention draws near and we collect ourselves to force concessions from the carcass of a political party which has couped our Rights, be prepared to walk off that hill when they choose to build more prisons instead of houses, send bombs instead of food, and allow children to drown rather than offer them the aid promised in our national story.
