All Federal Aid Halted; Who Fails First?
Where, after all, do you think much of this money goes when it is distributed to organizations across the country? Straight into the local economy.
Shops will stock less going forward as sanctions, tariffs (import taxes), and customer entropy begin to sink in; employers who once could reliably support ten, fifteen, or even twenty workers will now be forced to reduce to half those numbers. Those that remain, will be given extra work, pick up the slack, for the employer will layoff your peers beyond whats needed for the sake of repairing short term losses and shoring up new profits. Meanwhile, wages will remain stagnant, those of your cut-loose peers going straight into the pockets of the boss.

The Worst MLK Day
The most basic of needs and services, things which were once offered by reputable and regulated vendors, are now attained through third parties in privatized markets. We are surrounded by frauds, charlatans who use the language of the learned to dupe the ignorant; crypto-scams flourish, the most desperate turning to gambling as a final thrust at the mythical American Dream, their entire lived experience assuring them they are capable of attaining and - more fundamentally - owed the comfort of the suburban “norm.”

The Looting of Los Angeles
There is a truth here that many are desperate to ignore: this is a class war. The rich who were able to mobilize private armies of fire fighters to protect their homes and businesses while everything their neighbors owned burned around them are turning around to point at Black and Brown young men minding their own business or seeking to save their own lives and loved ones. The politicians who were happy to allow private interests to subsume public resources as their own, who refused to stop the theft of our water, land, and opportunities in favor of those like the Wonderful Company (hope your pistachios taste like burning rubber) who have stolen some 90% of Californians’ water through underhanded manipulation of municipal levers and officials.
